Precautions for Bearing Installation in Automated Equipment
1. For bearing rings with clearance fit, it is recommended to apply a thin layer of anti-fretting corrosion agent on the mating surfaces to prevent frictional corrosion between them.
2. The force applied to the bearing during installation must **never** be transmitted from one bearing ring to another through the rolling elements, otherwise damage to the raceways may occur. Under no circumstances should you directly strike the bearing rings, cage, rolling elements or seals.

3. Install the eccentric locking collar. First place the eccentric collar on the eccentric step of the bearing inner ring, and tighten it by hand in the rotational direction of the shaft. Then insert a small iron rod into or against the countersink on the eccentric collar, and tap the rod with a hand hammer in the rotational direction of the shaft to secure the eccentric collar firmly. Finally, tighten the hexagon socket screw on the eccentric collar.
4. Do not fully tighten the bolts fixing the bearing housing first; allow the bearing outer ring to rotate inside the housing. Then fully tighten the bearing housing bolts. Similarly install the bearing and housing at the other end of the same shaft, rotate the shaft several revolutions to let the bearings automatically align themselves.
5. Apply lubricating oil to the mating surfaces between the bearing housing and the bearing, then install the bearing into the housing. Next, fit the assembled bearing and housing onto the shaft and push it to the required position for installation.
6. Correct bearing installation can not only extend bearing service life and reduce costs, but also greatly improve production efficiency. Therefore, it is urgent to learn the correct knowledge of bearing installation.
